Unequal EXO-Skeleton Protects Against Blunt-Force Trauma [VIDEO]
August 2, 2011 No CommentsProtective apparel and padding maker Unequal Technologies has launched its EXO Skeleton line of supplemental full-body, protective performance padding designed to take on concussions and other sports-related injuries.
Created to fit helmets and other protective gear of any size, EXO Skeleton dissipates harmful energy vertically while spreading impact forces laterally, reducing the amount of force that can penetrate the head or body at the time of impact.
With DuPont KEVLAR at its core, it is a patented suite of impact-absorbing protective sports padding that dramatically reduces the possibility of injury to the head or body brought on by blunt force trauma experienced by today’s athletes.
EXO Skeleton padding is lightweight, ultrathin and flexible so it easily conforms to and cradles the head and body, while providing extreme comfort and extra protection for athletes of all skill levels across all sports and activities.
With EXO’s patented formula, athletes get two independent shock-absorber systems in one. The first one helps deflect the initial impact force at point of contact and the second absorbs and disperses the majority of the remaining energy (called blunt force trauma) across the pad laterally and away from the body.
“Sports are getting more aggressive, physical and extreme,” said Rob Vito, founder and CEO of Unequal Technologies. “Traditional padding just doesn’t make the grade anymore and supplemental padding is needed to fill the void of adequate protection to help reduce the possibility of being severely hurt. Our EXO Skeleton line of padding was engineered to absorb the most energy possible to help reduce the possibility of injury – to the head or body.”
